Things I’m Loving this Month {August 2016}

August was definitely a little crazy.  We were without internet for most of the month, and that is why it has been so quiet around here.  I am looking forward to hopefully getting back to a normal schedule of posting.  I thought about skipping this post all together, but it is one of my favorites to write each month.

Posts I’m Loving from August:

Since we didn’t have internet for most of the month I didn’t get to read very many posts.  So today I only have two to share.

Things I’m Loving from August:

Planning ahead for the holidays.

Part of being a blogger is thinking and planning months in advance.  It is the only way to ensure that I have time to complete the projects that I want to accomplish.  During the month of August, I really started thinking about what I would like to do here at Joy for Each Step over the holidays.  One of the first thoughts that came to mind was creating a Holiday Planner.  (Have I mentioned that I love planners.)  I am hoping to launch it October first, and I can’t wait for y’all to see it!

An inspirational story that doesn’t just entertain.

During the month of August I read The Ringmaster’s Wife by Kristy Cambron.  This book was my first introduction to this author, and I was very pleasantly surprised.  When I first read about this book I wasn’t sure if I wanted to read it.  The circus just wasn’t something that I thought would catch my interest.  Thankfully I received a free copy of the book to review, and I am so glad I did.  Had I not received that copy, I would have missed out on what will probably be my favorite read of the year.  It is just that good.  As a reader I really connected with the characters, and gleaned from the wisdom shared.  This book did not just entertain me, it spoke to my heart through the thoughts shared.  I absolutely cannot wait to read more of Kristy’s books!

How was your August?  Have you read any books that you just absolutely loved lately?
